The short version
Sebastian Tudor. Romanian engineer, based in the Netherlands for more than ten years. Not a banker, not a fund manager, and not a licensed financial adviser. The Institute of Trading & Investing is a Dutch sole proprietorship registered in Amsterdam under KVK 89463528.
How I got here
I trained as an engineer and spent my career in shipyards, PLC control systems and corporate project management. Good work, and it paid well. But none of the money it produced was doing anything, because nobody had ever taught me the second part.
So I went and learned it, and I learned it the expensive way first. Crypto mining from 2014. Leveraged CFD trading with backtesting from 2015. Crypto again around 2020. In 2022 I set up the Institute and taught trading, because that is what I knew.
Then I looked at the outcomes honestly. Most people who trade lose money. Meanwhile the broad indices kept climbing, for people who did nothing clever at all. So in 2024 I stopped teaching the hard version and rebuilt everything around the simple one: a plain, rule-based structure using broad global index funds, small enough to run in about an hour a month.
That is the only thing I teach now. It is deliberately boring, and boring is the point — a system you cannot follow in a bad week is not a system.
What I am, and what I am not
An educator. I teach a written framework that you apply yourself, on your own account, in your own name.
Not a licensed financial adviser. I do not give personal investment advice, I do not manage anyone's money, and I never have access to it.

How the business makes money
Three ways, and all three are stated on the pages where they apply. People pay for courses and for mentorship. And the Institute is an official partner of the investment platform used in the teaching material — when someone opens an account through our link and starts investing, the platform pays a commission. Not the student, and it changes nothing about their fees or conditions. We say so before the step, not in the terms.
